About DurangoSpace

Coworking foyer at DurangoSpace Unit 108 – Great workspace!

Cofounders Nancy Wharton and Jasper Welch have served as management consultants, trainers and entrepreneurs, based right here in Durango, CO.     Nancy’s expertise and client work includes market research, marketing strategies, meeting facilitation, customer satisfaction training and business development for small businesses, non-profits and emerging companies.    Jasper’s expertise and client work includes business incubation, Board of Directors development, leadership teams, marketing plans, communications strategies and executive coaching.  Working together as co-founders of DurangoSpace, Nancy and Jasper transformed over 6-months of research in 2010 and 10-years of mobile work experience to create DurangoSpace for the greater Durango community in southwestern Colorado.  We opened Durango’s premier coworking space in February 2011 and (thanks for our members) have become an entrepreneurial and innovation hub in downtown Durango. With over 100 clients and several dozen active coworking members, DurangoSpace is a vibrant professional community.  And while Nancy retired from active operations at DurangoSpace late 2013, she has remained involved as a cofounder and advocate for coworking in western Colorado.  In December 2017, we pivoted our membership model to add more reserved workspaces and modified our open work desks.  On April 24th, 2018 we’ll be celebrating to 7th anniversary and coworking in downtown Durango, CO.  We are now located at 101 W 11th Street, Suites 108 & 109 in the Crossroads/Alpine Bank building.  Come by and visit us at DurangoSpace!   The cup of Desert Sun Coffee is on us!

We are members of InBIA (business incubation & entrepreneur centers), the Mountain Coworking Alliance, Rocky Mountain Incubation Collaborative (RMIC) and the Durango Chamber and Local First.
